Chinese Stir-Fried Lettuce

Ingredients
- 3/4 head iceberg lettuce, washed, roughly chopped and spun
- 2 tsp Soy sauce
- 2 tsp Vegan oyster sauce
- 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- Vegetable oil, to fry
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 slice of ginger
Instructions
- Roughly chop, wash and spin your lettuce dry. In a small bowl, mix the sauce ingredients: soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil and a little sugar. Set aside.
- Heat a bit of oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat. Fry garlic and ginger until fragrant, then add the lettuce. Stir quickly, pour in the sauce and cook for just a couple of minutes. You want the lettuce to stay slightly crisp. Discard the ginger pieces before serving.
- Serve hot with freshly steamed rice. This dish will change the way you look at leftover lettuce forever!
