Vegan Sweet and Sour…. Popcorn Chick’n? Yep! A twist on a Chinese classic! I used Vegan Fried Chick’n’s Popcorn Chick’n for this recipe and it
This is be far my favourite way to eat eggplant. It’s a Chinese dish that just happens to be vegan and it’s so mouthwateringly delicious.
Another day, another childhood favourite. A regular in our dinner rotations. I remember Dad making this after netball training and for countless dinners after school.
This SCB recipe is quick and easy and makes enough to feed the whole fam. It’s fresh, it’s filling, it’s crunchy and delicious. The water
Peking Duck pancakes were a highlight of my childhood. On anyone’s birthday we’d order Peking Duck at our favourite Chinese Restaurant in Eastwood and my
A low waste recipe for Vegan Dan Dan Noodle brought to you by Naked Asian Grocer – a zero waste asian grocer based in Sydney.
I absolutely love this method of cooking potatoes! I distinctly remember the first time eating this as a kid and being so heckin’ mind-blown!
Welcome to my blog! We do vegan and plant-based food here. Delicious recipes that are tasty, easy and nourishing for the soul. Recipes that hit the spot, you know? I’ve been plant-based for over 8 years now and love sharing my recipes with you all. Follow along on instagram for more.
The other thing I do when I’m not making content 🙆🏻♀️ started @mylkandbun back in uni and did the first market by myself and was so tired after making 4 crates of buns that I didn’t do it again for literally 2 years 🙃 (Now we we do 60+ crates on a @sydneyveganmarket day so we’ve come pretty far!!) The week of the market is still super duper stressful but it’s immensely rewarding watching everyone get their buns on Sunday morning and it’s aaaaallll worth it. Also. My favourite flavours are Milo (severely underrated) and Finger Bun with coconut coz I’m boring. (last pic is from my first ever market at University haha) …
AD 🌿 Okay this one’s for my fellow Sydney foodies in case you missed it – HAVE YOU USED VEATS YET? 👀 @veats_australia is Sydney’s newest Plant-Based online platform where you can explore, book and get vegan noms delivered! You can also review and add your fave spots so others can find them too. I’ve found a bunch of delicious new things in my own area and am having a blast finding so many new places all around Sydney. Had a little scroll through featured restaurants on the homepage and saw @buddhabowlcafe on there and it reminded me I hadn’t yet tried their famous Bedouin Bowl yet (who am I) so HERE WE ARE!

Happy New Year and may your 2022 be like this avocado & radish kimchi toast 🍞💥 A variety of textures and flavours, a little spicy, somewhat funky, but above all – delicious and nourishing 😌

To be honest I still feel like I haven’t quite processed 2021 properly. I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed for the past month or so but I am definitely excited for the year to come. Last year turned out literally nothing like I had planned but I’ve grown so much and I’m very grateful for each and every moment and for everyone in my life, new and old. And thank YOU so much for following along, I absolutely love sharing food and recipes with you guys and the plan is to share even more with you this year. I’m definitely less disciplined than I would like when it comes to posting regularly but I’m the kinda gal that just really cannot post when I’m feeling down – I just can’t do it 🙃 I tend to beat myself up about it because ‘consistency is key’ and all that. I’ve realised that at least for me, happiness and creativity really do go hand in hand and I know I make the best content when I’m in a good headspace. So I’m gonna roll with that and take some pressure off myself. Still taking this first week to plan my year and set my goals. And for you dear follower, I wish nothing but growth for you, wherever you are in the world! 🥰Collect new experiences, new connections and maybe it’s time to let go of those old narratives about yourself you’ve convinced yourself are true – things are always changing and we need to stop underestimating our ability to change. May you keep evolving into the best possible version of you. ❤️ …
If you’ve been following for a while, you’ll know that @ishouldbe_souvlaki is one of my main stops at every Sydney Vegan Market and it’s been amazing to see them grow 🥰 They’ve been feeding the vegan community the most mouthwatering souvlaki for a few years and NOW THEY HAVE A WHOLE DANG SHOP where they have so much more than what’s on their market menu!! 🎊👏🏼🥳 Now you can get Santorini-style souvlaki wraps (aka HOT CHIPS IN YOUR WRAP – yup this is not a drill!) They’ve got souvlaki plates, caesar wraps (a fave), southern fried chicken strips, SALT AND PEPPER CALAMARI and so much more. Oh did I mention cheesecake? 🎂 Em’s making the most luscious vegan cheesecakes – strawberry jelly, baklava and biscoff are just some of the flaves that are in rotation at the moment! Last weekend I went with my gorl @omumeshi for a little feast and it was just on another level. UGH. BIG YUM. Make sure you stop by when you’re on the vegan mile in Newtown – 399 King St is where you’ll find them! #IShouldBeSouvlaki #VeganMile #SydneyVeganEats …
VEGAN BUTTERFINGERS! 🥜🍫 Look – I’ve never had a butterfinger before but I’ve been craving one all week. Dunno how that works. 🤷🏻♀️ ANYWHO I tried @addictedtodates’ recipe and it’s a certified 10/10 banger. 🔥💥DEFINITELY will be making again and highly recommend giving it a go. It’s crunchy, light and CRISPPP! ⚡️⚡️ Like I said in my stories, this recipe is a little more finicky than other butterfinger recipes online (I feel like when there’s a candy thermometer involved you just know it’s gonna be good) but but BUT you gotta be extra if you want that texture – and trust me, you want the texture. Read through the recipe before you start, make sure you have everything ready and weighed out, don’t touch the hot sugar mix and I feel like you can’t go wrong! It’s frkn gr8. #veganbutterfingers #butterfinger #homemadebutterfinger …
This weekend I didn’t cook a lot buuuuutttttt I did eat a lot. I CANNOT get over the PLUSH phat filled cookies from @t.h.e.c.w.o.r.d – UGH. The choc-hazelnut is phenomnomnomenally oozy and rich and decadent 🌋 and this is coming from a girl who doesn’t usually like chocolate. Don’t @ me I just never really go for choccy things. My top 5 personal flaves would have to be Classic Choc Chip, Sticky Date Dulce sin Leche, Choc Hazel, Muesli and Choc Walnut. These cookies are quite seriously on anuzzer level ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Yes – they’re all vegan. ANYWHO HOW was YOUR weekend? HOW IS IT MONDAY ALREADY? #vegan #cookies …

Weekend video dump of some delicious things cooked up this weekend 🥳 You’re looking at:
⚡️ 5 Ingredient Mini Churros (from my Christmas ebook) because I was deep frying a lot this weekend and I thought WHAT THE HECK WE MUST DO CHURROS!!!!
🍌 Maple Pecan Granola on the first smoothie bowl I’ve had probably all year – I forgot how good they were… but also cold 🥶 Granola is seriously so good, DO IT TODAY (Granola recipe saved in highlights)
🍳 Vegan Isaac Toast (recipe on my website itslizmiu.com) – the best damn brekky sandwich you’ll ever have. Savoury kiwi mayo sauce. Mouth-wateringly delicious. Made with @omnifoods.au spam this morning!
🍛 Japanese Curry topped with plantitude Chicken Tenders found at woolies – made the curry from a vegan S&B box roux. Added heaps of veg as per usual: potatoes, carrots, eggplant, mushrooms, onion, garlic. Tenders weren’t bad, could be more juicy but like 7.5/10 and would buy again.
🌽 Corn Korokke (recipe from @okonomikitchen) – so fun, easy and heckin’ delicious!
